These works are part of a large series called Time of War, which I started at the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine and which I continue to work on now. The Russian aggression has brought destruction and death, and it has also raised an urgent question for the whole world: how to define the evil that tempts people until everything human in them dies?

In my opinion, the Russian state brings not only physical death. Ever since the Soviet era, its efforts have been aimed at removing human qualities from living people. I see this army of the dead, against which living humanity must unite. Otherwise, it will face the triumph of death. (Volodymyr Budnikov)
